RAM should’ve stepped to the plate and replaced the materials. I had to replace both sides, labor and materials my cost.

All the hate for Rams, I drove my first (2006) ten years not one issue. I have been driving my 2016 eight years zero issues so far. Don’t buy into the Dodge/Ram narratives, they make good trucks.

Actually , your likely to hear a tick more then a actual exhaust note it’s self , now with that being said you can weld nuts to the broken studs and remove them that way very common for dodge 😅

There’s a bad bolt in every car/truck. This is why you buy USED, and upgrade with high performance parts and EPA delete all vehicles. Both my Rams run like scalded dogs and almost have nothing stock. All stock parts are generally garbage.

The problem is the casting is too thin and warps. That’s what breaks the studs. The good news is that once cast iron warps, it’s done moving. Machine it straight and reinstall. Problem solved. Old school racers knew this. That’s why they only wanted well seasoned blocks that were done moving. They hold tolerances better than new blocks.

i have 225k on a 2018 ram 2500 as a company truck. every 60k the bolts break just like clock work. only good thing im running on the original running gear.

The factory has since upgraded to a new design for the DS body, added tie bars to not let the manifold expand so much and break the bolts. Been with a Ram dealer for 5+ years in rust country and have never seen a drill come out for a broken bolt. If they are broken sticking out the guys twist them out with vice grips most of the time. Feel bad for the guy drilling lol
