I'm this old. Hi, kids. 😂 Lip liner was originally to keep lipstick from bleeding off of our lips and on to our skin. Espesially when we would eat/drink. It is a barrier and definer and was supposed to blend in with our lipstick as much as possible. Now we use it as a separate color but the clear would be to still have the barrier but not have 2 colors on the lips. Like a red or black especially that you cant find a liner to match. They bleed the worst in my opinion.💘💘
