The Battle of Chawinda was a big tank fight between Pakistan and India in the 1965 war. It happened near the town of Chawinda in Sialkot, Pakistan. It is known as one of the largest tank battles since World War II. Pakistan had about 132 tanks, while India attacked with more than 200 tanks. Pakistani Victory Pakistan won a defensive victory. India tried to break through to capture Sialkot and more land, but Pakistani forces stopped them. India could not achieve its goals and had to pull back after heavy losses. The battle ended with a UN ceasefire. Tank Losses Numbers differ by source: Pakistan said they destroyed about 120 Indian tanks. India said they lost fewer tanks (around 70 total, with 29 destroyed). Neutral estimates: India lost around 100 tanks, Pakistan lost about 60 tanks. Chawinda is often called the "graveyard of Indian tanks" in Pakistan because of the many Indian tanks destroyed there. How Pakistan Defended Chawinda Pakistan defended well with these key points: They quickly sent more troops and tanks, including the 6th Armoured Division. Soldiers used good positions in the open fields and strong artillery fire to hit Indian tanks from far away. Pakistani tanks made counterattacks and worked closely with infantry and anti-tank teams. #trend #foryou #viral #pakistan #trending
THE KILLUA ARCHIVE — RECOVERED REEL 056 [ HXH — CHIMERA ANT FOOTAGE — RECOVERED 16mm MATERIAL 1990 ] Something was collecting people. The film crew didn't realize they were next. In 1990, a documentary filmmaker named Reiko Amane operating independently out of Sendai submitted a funding application to a private arts council in Tokyo for a project described in the application as "a visual study of predatory social systems in post-industrial Japan." The council approved the application within 24 hours — faster than any application in the council's recorded history. The approval letter was signed by a board member whose name does not appear in any other council document before or after that date. What Amane produced over six weeks was 34 minutes of Hunter x Hunter footage that three people who viewed the rough cut independently described as feeling less like a film and more like evidence. A world in which the boundary between human and something else had already been crossed so many times that both sides had stopped keeping track. The central antagonist was never fully shown. Every shot that should have captured him complete contained instead a visual anomaly — a smear on the negative, a light flare, a figure that resolved into something different depending on the distance from which the print was viewed. The HXH pilot aired on a cable channel in Miyagi, July 7th 1990. Runtime: 34 minutes. Broadcast at 3:44am. No scheduling entry. No authorization on record. The channel's overnight log for that date is missing. Not lost. The pages have been removed. The binding shows they were taken out cleanly, with a blade, sometime after the log was last officially reviewed in 1991. Amane submitted a final expense report to the arts council in August 1990. The council's address no longer existed. The building had been demolished in June. The demolition permit was dated March — three months before Amane's project was approved. #lostmedia #hunterxhunter #1980saesthetic #hxhedit #hxhliveaction
