A lot of hate on Del Torro and Carapaz, but I think we should be applauding Yates’ tactic. He waited til they burnt their teammates and then put them in a position where neither one would want to do the work to bring him back. If Carapaz attacked, Del Torro would have chased, if Del Torro attacked it would’ve been up to Carapaz. Yates going meant they both had something to lose but equally would’ve gained if one of the two of them went too deep chasing. Great tactics from Yates 👏🏼

My take is. DT knew he didn't have to legs to chase SY, if he had tried and failed to follow he may have lost 2nd or even dropped of the podium. He knew he had no chance so decided to just defend 2nd place.

Del toro tenia equipo Carapaz no y tenia el giro gano pero por estar detrás de Carapaz en hacer la vida imposible en la competencia perdió Carapaz no perdió el si Carapaz viene de ganar unas olimpiadas mundiales y ya un giro Carapaz un grande el del toro no quería que Carapaz no ganará y el perdió el giro qué tenia ya en las manos por mala persona perdió.

Simon Yates e stato bravissimo... Simon Carapaz...poteva benissimo aiutare Del Toro ..non ha mai dato il suo aiuto ...un atteggiamento non molto sportivo ....Carapaz aveva provato diverse volte scappare da Del Toro non c'è riuscito ...inspiegabilmente non ha assolutamente aiutato ...Del Toro ... senza questo aiuto Del Toro ha perso il giro.....
