girl I had laproscopic surgery for endo and my partner took 2 weeks off for my 5 week recovery 😅 something tells me my hysterectomy next year won't be a week

how did you get a follow up after hysterectomy. my surgeon signed me off when I was discharged and my GP wont see me. it was keyhole and c section to take uterus.. been 5 months and still have a tender area.

I have my surgery in a couple of weeks (keyhole I think - pre op on Monday), husband taking 3 weeks off.

I’m day 9 post laparoscopic total hysterectomy (and endo excision) and most definitely could not have only had my partner here for 3 days! Nor was the advice to not life a kettle for a week - it’s 6 weeks. I can’t bend at all yet and only just managed to get downstairs for the first time yesterday. I know some people heal up fast but just to manage expectations - my surgeon said I’d be really rough for about 2 weeks and needed to take atleast 6 weeks off work to recover. I know I had the endometriosis excision too but that doesn’t add that much time on to those timescales x
