I am a Coroner .. sometimes a sware word pops out but NEVER in the presence of the family. Honestly, it’s all disrespectful.

Death’s esthetician :
We don’t comment about the body but depending on the situation as long as family is not around we try to lift the mood. We see so much death and tragedy we have to lighten the mood so it doesn’t bring us down to the point we can’t do our jobs.

As A Retired Firefighter We Would Have To Wait For Coroner We Always Treated A Deceased Body With Respect Just Like We Would Want To Be Treated Respect To Humanity 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

All of them showed a high level of disrespect. The utmost professionalism is required for the deceased and their family at all times.

Id like to think that the deceased wouldn’t want others to suffer so they’d be understanding of coping mechanisms. In front of the family and the deceased, be strong for them and help them cope through showing them compassion.

I would treat the decadent as if they were alive and in a removal or prep speak to them walking though the steps. Just because they are not with us does not mean they were not a person. Someone still loves that person.

inappropriate comments about the body... inappropriate comments about the body would depend why and how the body became a body. the inappropriate thing about the body may be the reason they are unalife
so it might not be inappropriate either way

I mean you were in the presence of the deceased it really doesn’t matter what you do just as long as you do your job properly so the family can view their loved one in a respectable manner, but I do have something to say about the police that sit on this app while they’re on duty, they need to not be doing that

If family or loved ones are around, basically all of the above

I mean sometimes laughing or distraction like scrolling on TikTok in a serious situation is helpful because it’s not easy to see even for those seasoned. None of these are appropriate when interacting with the deceased however coroner or embalmer.

Depends on the situation and where you're at. People cope with death in different ways, especially those that are dealing with the dead on a daily basis.
