@ilmfeed: Khabib didn't shake her hand, and many are asking why? Here's why: 1. Muslim men do not touch any unrelated woman. They are only permitted to touch their female relatives such as their mother, sister, aunty, etc. and of course, their wife. 2. But this is not something exclusive to Muslim men. Muslim women also do not touch unrelated men. It's a two-way thing. It's not a case of one gender disrespecting the other. 3. In a Muslim society, where modesty is emphasised, this removes all awkwardness between the genders and ensures a person's personal space is respected. 4. Many choose to place their hands on their hearts as a form of greeting the other person respectfully. 5. In recent times, the absurd notion that Muslim men are sexual predators has been spread by anti-Muslim social media users. This couldn't be further from the truth. As demonstrated by Khabib, Muslim men respectfully decline to even touch unrelated members of the opposite sex!

Some Muslim men don't shake hands with women because of religious rules about modesty and physical contact.

In Islam, women are seen as noble and dignified — like a queen in her palace. Just as a queen isn’t touched by just anyone, a Muslim woman isn’t touched by men who are not closely related to her, even through a handshake.
This isn’t because of hate or disrespect, but because Islam teaches us to honour and protect dignity. A handshake between unrelated men and women can lead to feelings or interactions that cross personal boundaries. So, Islam sets limits to protect both sides — and one of them is avoiding physical contact with the opposite gender who is not mahram.
So, when a Muslim man politely refuses to shake a woman’s hand, it’s not meant to offend. In fact, it shows deep respect — seeing her as someone valuable and pure, like a queen who is only touched by those who truly deserve it.Wallahu a'lam🙂.

In Islam men and women don’t touch or shake each other hands. Only exceptions are those that fall under Mahram such as Mother, sister, direct parents sisters (aunts), daughter, Siblings daughters (nieces). And of course your wife& mother in law, anyone other than that you can’t touch.

that's the most respectful way to greet a woman.
In Islam every woman is a princess to his husband, so no one can touch her with his husband
