The assessors have no idea and judge people on medical conditions they know nothing about or even how conditiins affect them therefore they dismiss what people say

mine was refused and the descision makers written bit was full of lies, so I don't know if my assessor lied or the descision maker is. I was given zero points !

Just had my sons back....zero points..un absolute shock as what they said on why they came to the decision was not what I said or put on the forms....unbelievable..

Hi, my 17yr old was diagnosed with ASD when he was 10 as his primary felt it would benefit him when he went to secondary. However, they didn’t have any evidence they could provide for various reasons! I am now awaiting a tribunal as he was rejected for Pip. He is too anxious to speak on the phone to anyone and also, doesn’t go on the bus to college, etc. I have provided as much info as possible but don’t know what else to do. He won’t speak in a tribunal, but may sit with me if I explain it fully. Can it be online? And what can I do if he doesn’t speak?

My son has selective mute, when I have to claim for him from dla to pip how does this work if I have to do it for him? I also have now had to home educate him because he can’t cope at school! So I am now having to be with him all day as a one to one. He can’t socialise hence why I had to take him out of school.

applying for PIP and getting back that I had literally no reason for help despite everything I have going on was so invalidating. I send bad vibes to Joanne at the centre every day 🫶🏻

Just had a call got pip assessment next week even though I said No phone call in May/June due to GCSE. I’m not having him get anxious during this period.. i don’t care it’s HT next week. He need to relax and revise! I refused and made it after..

So as an autistic person when you say “don’t over exaggerate” I’m already thinking about how is it my life is different as I don’t see it so much but I am. And same for my son. We both have little to no support because once diagnosed you are left with it and told to register and look at charities to help… 🫤 but how do I know if I’m exaggerating cos some things I know are silly or nothing to others feel huge to me. 🥺 it’s really confusing.

My son is 16 this July and has been on DLA since he was 4. MRC & LRM. I am a little anxious about the flip over to PIP and whether he will automatically get PIP as his needs will never not be there as he is autistic and had global development delay. He will certainly need long term support even though he is independent BUT he is very vulnerable. 🫤

how do you back up with evidence? i stim at home away from people but not outside because peopke look at me weird or ask me to stop making that sound. i cant do it at will.
