I had two from when my granny passed.. I put them on a bbq grill bottom side down on flames and all for 4 hours that stuff cooked off. Them I did the same thing as I turned them over. The skillets are great now

if you cook with it on an open fire that stuff will all burn off you can also bury it under the coals and it will be completely clean (slightly risky)

That’s what happened to my skillet, they overflowed the oil in it and they didn’t clean it properly.

all my grandma's cookware are like that. i offered to deep clean them and make some type of video. but sadly she said, no one is taking away flavours off of my pans 😂
