I am extremely glad that someone like Diana got ME because it highlights the perfect person who would not want this at any point and is very highly intelligent and driven with a grip on reality cant "walk it off". I dont want anyone to have the same condition as myself, but tha sad thing is that people wouldn't know if they didnt know someone who have ME, and this puts in on the agenda as something that needs adressing within the scientific community. Watch ME/cfs scandel explained by Broken battery to understand my perspective here. We need to study and find a cure and not gaslight people with the condition.

as someone who has fibromyalgia and me/CFS and got them before COVID I feel so bad for everyone who's gotten long COVID and other complications. I wouldn't wish this on anyone (okay maybe doctors who don't think it's real)

The world doesn’t see us. I’ve been in decline since mid-pandemic all because I did my job caring for my patients. Now I’m paying the price for it. Overwhelmingly feels like we are expendable.

so happy she's got folks around her that understand & believe her. SO MANY of us long haulers with ME/CFS have to face friends & family that want to tell us yoga will cure this & then get mad at us for not magically curing ourselves

Long Covid severely impacted my life. I have all the same symptoms but not as severe. I went through a drug trial at Toronto Western that helped tremendously. Please talk to your doctor to see if try it if you can. It’s called RECLAIM.

good for her for using her platform to talk about this. Long COVID is hell. the more we talk about it, the more chance we have at getting research into it

I’m post viral syndrome with all these conditions- 10 years now. This year I lost a bestie with severe ME/CFS. She was in her 40’s and suffered decades. 😭❤️

When covid came around and I started seeing people that wouldn’t get better after months of getting it I knew they were experiencing the same I did after EBV. I really had high hopes for us ME patients bc with so many people getting Long Covid and developing ME, maybe this time something would be different. More voices to be heard. We have an illness most of the people don’t know nothing about, we suffer alone in our homes, most of us dont have any medical help. We were active people. Positive people. Passionate. But all that doesn’t matters… And I have to sadly say that nothing has changed. Millions have long covid, yet drs dismiss us every single day. General public think covid is over. I really thought this time we would get more seriously. This can happen to anyone at any time. I’m thankful for people that share their experience and spread awareness. Hopefully one day there will be justice for us (and for all the invisible chronic illnesses)

This is why disability advocacy is so important, you are really helping show that anyone’s life can change drastically in a moment but we all deserve care & good quality of life.

Bless her sweet soul. I’ve had LONG COVID 4 years. It’s so tricky, you can feel okay and do the least little activity, have a long conversation, get a head cold and it will take you out for days. Pacing is the only that helps this. Pacing, long-term working part-time limiting your chores limiting your conversations. It’s hard but it helps. I’ve made a lot of changes over the last few years to improve my symptoms
