Most people can’t handle wealth. Not a courtesan trait. Plus the successful one were likely intelligent and had to earn it, unlike spoiled aristocrats, so likely fewer ended up poor that average. 🤔

Courtesans were some of the most educated women of the world at the time, ladies weren’t allowed in library’s but courtesans were. There a movie called Danegous Beauty, based on the life of the poetess courtesan Veronica Franco. It’s my favourite!

I have read 2 books about courtesans, and I knew they were laying about the ending! Because all their ending were always, they ended alone and in poverty. I was like, umm… 🤔 how convenient and coincidental😑. I knew it!!!!
