The bigger shells usually do better with a bleach & water soak I would recommend joining Florida shelling fanatics on Facebook for better advice as sometimes the muriatic acid can actually destroy the shell! All great finds!

please please make sure you dilute the acid before dipping the shells i usually do 1 part acid and 4 parts water. It’s also vital to neutralize the acid after dipping which is just adding baking soda to the water you were dipping the shells in. love the shells!! just make sure to be safe😁

Some future tips! Use tongs and only dip your shells for a couple seconds at a time and check them so you don’t accidentally ruin their patterns and keep holding them with the tongs while they’re in the acid. I think the acid could cut through those gloves so just be careful 🥺
