during a LIVE SHOW, the people onstage were informed that they had to take down a stage prop that was big and heavy(not super big, like the size of a chair) and it had to be them specifically cuz tgey were older. but no one did it, mind u they said anyone out of the 2-3 people could take it down. none of them did. so me being in the wing, i had to take it down without drawing too much attention to myself, and it was so annoying cuz my soster was behing the prop cuz she had a prop to control like a puppeteer, but shes younger so it wasnt safe for her to take it down, so i had to do it when i wasn't assigned too, but if o didnt, it would get in the way of their blocking, yet they thank the people who did absolutely nothing😀 i didnt say anything ofc but like?

me and another student had to carry a heavy table during a blackout before a scene and then carry it back off after the scene during another blackout... we were panicking cause we didn't want the lights to come on early...

Imagine the yearbook is coming take pictures and you are apart for crew and they get a picture of you full black putting a table and chairs on yhe satge and it is forever immortalized in the yearbook.... yeah that happened to me.

i (assistant stage manager) had to place a bench down in the MIDDLE of suddenly seymour while they were singing bc it was forgotten. luckily i was in costume from our "pre-show" skid row "ambience" but bro it was stressful

We did the play our day out by willy russel and pretty much we had to move chairs on and off in the darkness to represent a bus. Now for the final scene someone forgot to bring on a chair and it was me who was walking around on the bus talking to people and I had to move this one chair around this bus because if not I couldnt sit down 😭

my crew has managed to leave out props so many times through rehearsal it's not even funny anymore but I'd say we're good at getting on the marks at least.

they had to roll in a wheelchair once last years show bc we were busy preparing for a HUGE scene change after n they literally put the wheelchair on the OTHET side of the bed. Complete opposite of where the spikes r n there was literally nothing spiked where they put it too😭😭😭
