@cymrurails: Horse Creek, Wyoming, by the Nailsea Model Railway Club, is set in the late 1950s, depicting a small settlement in southern Wyoming. The layout features the main line of the Colorado and Southern Railway, crossing the "intermittent" Horse Creek. First generation cab-unit diesels (F7) and newly arrived road switchers (SD7s) dominate, with some steam operation still present. The C&S, part of a larger network, facilitates traffic in minerals, livestock, and general supplies. The model, though not a precise replica, captures the "high plains" area, with Horse Creek converted into a terminus. Construction utilizes lightweight open frame techniques with styrofoam and plaster shell landscape.
