If theres a big line it makes the workers job easier, makes it all quicker instead of making them do each individual if we all tag it ourselves

They’re not supposed to save you time. Airlines install them to reduce required payroll. They can reduce the number of agents needed at the ticket counter by 25-30% by doing this. Your perspective is interesting because I work for an airline but just know its always about the money.

Doesn’t save time in my experience because you just got to go to another line to weigh your luggage. Also I feel bad for our older generation always trying to understand the computers

as someone who tried to self check-in a big bag recently, no. my bag was over the allotted weight amount, so I still had to go to the counter, but I had to wait in 2 lines for this process

As an airline employee it does help especially during peak travel season. To the customer they think it’s a waste of time cause most of them just travels like once a year. & the only reason why they complain about using the kiosk is cause they’re to lazy to read the template. 🤷♀️

Last time I used one the kiosk printer was broken. Took almost a half hour for employees to try to help, determined it was broken, send me to the regular line, explain why I looked like my bag was already checked and finally get to head to TSA. So no! And I missed breakfast 😢
