The ID team, specifically Hugo martin has said this about every DOOM game, DONT compare them because they are very different for a reason, you are allowed to have a preference/favorite but with each game they plan to keep the combat loop different every time.

Doom eternal es superior en cuanto a glory kills y sus mecanicas son muy bareadas. En dark ages. Llega un punto en el que se vuelve repetitivo. Ademas de que en Pesadilla se siente que estuvieras jugando en Hazme daño
