I'm of two minds... how can I navigate this? I hate my behaviour. I recoil from my own actions even yet I commit them. my thoughts are like the seasons changing through the years, decades and millenia. I've asked for strength and wisdom and he gives it to me in moments but I still yearn for evil in moments of weakness. God is my rock and I've built my house on Him but my carpentry is lacking.

Simply trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation, believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins, shedding his blood for the remission/payment of sin was buried in Rose again from the dead for our justification.

Does baptism as a child count? I was baptized but the way I understand the bible (if i actually understand correctly) looks more like it should be a deed I choose myself not my parents for me? Thoughts?

I've never spoken in tongues or prophesied, this concerns me. I do feel Jesus Xhrist in my life for decades even more in the past 2 years with the drastic changes I've made in my life no entertainment and celibacy. I feel his presence in me and in my life and I worry why I don't prophecy or speak tongues. I pray about it

Instructions on being refined in fire? I've been on fire a very long time. Half of that time, I was definitely not following his will... while on fire. Now I am. I have been for a while. I'm still on fire. Idk if I'm just supposed to be on fire, or if I'm doing it wrong.

So when he said that when he was hungry you gave me something to eat. Is this doing the work? Or do you only have to faith to be saved? So if I say today that I believe in Jesus and in a few years time I decide for whatever reason that I don't believe anymore,was I once saved and now not? Or do I need to believe then to keep walking in the path which is doing the work to remain saved? What about the prisoner on the cross was he baptized?

Baptism is required for salvation, but what kind? John’s baptism of water is one, but Jesus baptized with fire and the Holy Spirit. Luke 3:16, Acts 11:15. Noah was saved in an ark (Jesus’ resurrection) thru the flood (grave). The ark saved, not the water. The water is symbolic of death, the Spirit gives life.

This makes me sad. My Mother believed in God with all her heart. Went through hell on Earth and still was the one nicest person. Gave when she didn't have it to give. It pains me that she's not in Heaven for never being Baptized.

Question? This just popped in my head listening to this…when the gospel is preached to the congregation and they hear the true gospel ( understanding that…some will have ears but will not hear) …what’s the reason they keep going back to church if they did receive it.

Know what's confusing me? How some Christians are saying Christians cannot sin!? Yet Paul says he desires to do what the spirit wants yet he still does what the flesh desires. Then I think of repentance and wonder how repentance can exist if we cannot sin after being born again? Being refined in the fire isn't an overnight process. We're not perfect like Jesus, why are they saying this????!

I was baptized as a teenager, but I didn’t really “get it” at the time and I was pretty much just going through the motions. Since that time I was pretty heavily backslidden. Should I get baptized again?
