It's like staring into the core of the planet! We visited at sunset, just as the lava lake became wildly active — lava splashing and glowing in the dark. It was both terrifying and mesmerizing. You forget everything — even your instinct to run — as you’re captivated by the sight. We returned again at dawn. By then, the lava had shifted, and the heat was even more intense. Phones overheated, and we could barely hold our hands up for a photo. The volcano breathed like a living beast.
