@alex_thevet: Ever wonder what happens when your dog has an X-ray taken? Well because we need them to stay perfectly still to get a good image, that means we have to sedate them. Once sedated, we’ll often use a combination of tape, ropes and sandbags to hold them in a certain position (depending on what we are trying to X-ray) The puppy in the video is having her hips and back legs X-rayed, hence having to stretch out her back legs and tape them in place! Looks funky right! #dogxray #vetreacts #veterinarymedicine #vetsofinstagram #hipdysplasia
Do the vets keep them for a few hours or are the owners waiting at the vets?

Angel.MalteseAotearoa :
My maltese had leg xrays 6 weeks after her bilateral luxating patella surgery without anaesthetic or sedation. Lay her down as needed xrays done and out in under 5 minutes. She's an Angel confirmed by all the vets that treated her. 😇 I'm so proud of her 😅
