Yesterday I asked my 4-yo if the (trans) girl who washed her hair at great clips was nice. She replied, “he- she sounded like a boy” and when I said “yeah, some girls sound like boys because some girls start out as boys and become girls later” and her reply was “oh. she was sooo nice”. It’s that easy for kids to understand. 💀

My son is 5. FIVE. He is energetic and loves to act. We tried sports, he likes being with friends but could care less about the actual game. So I signed him up for a theater class in Jan. He SHINES. He loves it. He runs around the house singing. Even though we did practice every day and rehearsals multiple times a week. when the play was over. he asked to keep doing the songs and dances. he asked to do the play again but wanted to try another part. Theater focuses his adhd energy. utilizing his desire to be creative, and he learns to memorize and be confident. Hes starting a new play as of today. People havr asked me why do I encourage it. why do I want him to be gay. HE IS FIVE.

This is still real. My son wore a dress to his preschool graduation. He now tells me “pink is for girls” and that he doesn’t like Barbie anymore. It makes me so sad, and I don’t know what to do.

Hmm okay but being different dosent make someone gay. The toys u play with do not determine ur sexuality. Straight boys can play with Barbies and gay guys can like football. We dont need to teach sexuality we need to teach kids its okay to be different

My grandmother “isn’t racist” but called a black African man “coloured”, she threw a tantrum at the Asians for covid, she’d constantly blaim the government problems on immigrants and use the words “go back to their country, my grandmother “isnt transphobic” but “corrected” my younger brothers into deadnaming and misgendering our older sister because “he is my granson, he is a sweet boy, he is a happy boy” despite her being a full grown adult and this “little boy” she hadnt spoken to in over 10 years was well and truly dead, my grandmother “isnt homophobic” but my younger brothers play fighting on the trampoline somehow turns into them touching eachother and acting gay despite them never doing anything close and simply play fighting as siblings do, my grandmother “isn’t homophobic or transphobic” but a boy with long hair is disgusting and a boy wearing a skirt or a dress or wanting a doll are all “gay behaviours”, my mother isnt transphobic but me being nonbinary and using they/them is apparently just way to hard to grasp, my sister got she/her almost immediately, at most a month, its now been 2 years and i am still fighting to be correctly referred to by everyone, my younger brothers were taught that sometimes adults say things that are not correct and you don’t repeat, they both have long hair and are not made fun of, we joke about them being gay but it is never used derogatory, they can wear what they want, sometimes i have to remind our mother that if they want that “girls toy” they can because it doesn’t actually matter, i have short hair and wear boxers because these things make me happy and have nothing to do with my identity, yet when i was in high school and said i was BI all i heard was “lesbehonest” referring to people saying i was actually just a lesbian, i was bullied because i didnt care if i was being “girly” or not, i was bullied because i was just being myself and people find it so damn offensive, my younger brother had to listen to my grandmother every single night while they just tried to eat dinner, she would watch the news and do nothing but complain and be bigoted, my younger brothers had to knowingly deadname or misgendering our sister in

My daughter called herself a boy all through pre-K and she couldn’t explain why so we did gender neutral nicknames (kiddo, buddy, etc) and they/them pronouns, she requested a pixie cut “like a boy”, and she wore tshirts and sweats. She was comfy in our home and school (her teacher was on board w our plan) and now she is as girly as they come. Kids just experiment with their identities and we accept them as they are ❤️
