I don’t believe in unrealistic expectations. Because if someone on this earth has already done it, then it’s realistic.BUT, It’s only realistic when you’re asking it from the right person. You can want someone to send you flowers every day. That’s realistic. But it’s only realistic if you’re asking it from someone who has the financial capacity to support that lifestyle and genuinely enjoys expressing love that way. Those things exist. The question isn’t whether they’re realistic. The question is whether the person you’re asking is realistically capable of giving them. I think social media has had a huge impact on our perception of love and what love is supposed to look like.Every day we’re exposed to grand gestures, expensive gifts, surprise vacations, and partners who seem to say and do all the right things. Then we start measuring our own relationships against those moments.Sometimes we become so focused on what our partner isn’t giving us that we stop noticing what they are. Just because someone else’s partner does something doesn’t automatically mean yours can, should, or will express love in the same way.Sometimes we take what we have for granted because we’re busy chasing something we’ve only seen through a screen. And what a waste it would be to overlook genuine love simply because it doesn’t arrive in the packaging you expected. Not every act of love will or should looks the same.Sometimes love is found in the ordinary things we stop paying attention to. Here’s your reminder to appreciate the people who show up for you, who are kind to you, and who are patient with you. Love can look like grand gestures and big surprises. But the most valuable kind of love is often the one that comes genuinely from the heart💗 Follow for more content like this!🌼
