20 years ago they'd have you come in to confirm the pregnancy, run some blood work, give you the new mom package, give you your due date, and hook you up with prenatals. 🤨

pregnancy resource centers provide free confirmation scans! I went at six weeks and they can't give you any medical advice but they can let you know if there's concern for an ectopic pregnancy or if you should seek immediate medical care!

I didn’t get my first appointment until I was 13 weeks and I found that so weird I found out in October and had my first appointment at the end of December 😟

My area we get seen around 8 weeks, but it was still weird to call in like “hey, so I have a positive test and need to schedule OB appts now. Can you take me as a patient?”😂

This was exactly my experience and unfortunately it ended up in a miscarriage due to low progesterone levels. I could’ve prevented it if they would’ve seen me sooner ☹️

When I called the lady who answered was so sick and has no/ raspy voice. I was so taken aback and anxious I almost hung up. 🤣

In Korea I went in the day I tested, no appointment needed. Then it’s a check up every 2 weeks until week 20-22. Then every 3-4 weeks until 36 weeks. Blood work, ultrasound, app that allows you to rewatch the ultrasound, a mom book with all pregnancy check up info, a happy voucher card with free $800 from the government you use to pay for all your pregnancy check ups. Oh and birth cost me $260. In a private natural birthing center. And I got $1800 free money after birth and $800 a month until baby is a year.

If you are super anxious you can always go to your primary doctor and ask for blood work to be done and they can test your levels💙
