I’ve heard of taking Prevacid AC to help with PMDD symptoms. Any backing behind this?

I got on BC at 18 for mood swings. Got off when I was 23 and married. Every month I was questioning not being on the earth anymore🫠 after a year, got back on BC and am better. I will probably never get back off.

Ha! Not me! I prefer cake frosting over ice cream. (Diagnosed with PMDD 6 years ago. The symptoms are a great time on top of my ADHD.) ❤️

This is hard cause many of the symptoms are comorbid with things like ADHD, how would one separate these things?

I notice that my anxiety is through the roof a few days before my period. Full on panic attacks, and palpitations, but this is only a recent issue so I am wondering if perimenopause plays into it😭😭😭

I sought out BC to not ovulate because of PMDD. Discovered that I have Hashimoto's. Dr's say I can't do BC bc of Hashi's. Suggestions? Can hormones be managed on BC with Hashimoto's?

Thank you for talking about this! Lifestyle management helps, but it still affects my life so much. I tried intermittent dosing of SSRIs. They did help with some of the PMDD symptoms, but the side effects were too intense for me to manage. I may need to consider those next steps.

Can you get the supplements outside of a doctor or are they prescription? I don’t want to be on anyrhing outside of supplements but it would be nice to see if they help

I can’t thank you enough for talking about PMDD and helping all us women and our families, because we can now give them the information they need to know to be supportive and understanding about how this can be unbelievably debilitating and make us all know that we are not alone in this difficult time.
