I joined the “Meetup” app 7 years ago and I’m so glad I did! It’s a social app, not a dating app. You create a profile and input all of your interests, it connects you with groups pertaining to your interests, you can join the groups and RSVP to their meet ups. You are meeting all walks of life, people who enjoy doing the things that you do. The best part in my opinion is that you get to know people, you can form friendships and even romantic relationships in an organic setting, without the pressures of dating. I’ve made some really great friends in the last seven years.

I’ve live in CLT too and I’ve made no friends!! I’m planning on joining pickleball and run clubs to try and meet people. It’s hard when you’re older I’m 30 and the crowd here is pretty young

It’s so hard! I approached a random group of women my age (ish) at an event. I clung to people I knew to join their circles. I attached to people at work. It’s so hard.

im a dad in Charlotte with 2 girls and i feel your pain 😂😂. ive been here 3 years and haven't made 1 friend yet. I love sports (football,Nascar, basketball, soccer) love video games any genre especially (call of duty. ) i feel like im making a dating profile. 😂

Do you do school drop off? I park and get out of the car. There are moms and dads that I see every day and have become friends with over the school year. Now we are hanging out for coffee and stuff.
