Annmarie have one foot in one foot out . You shouldn't be getting into it with them like that . The dogs are a problem talk to nicely and tell them the new fence is being erected because of the dogs.

My neighbour had a new fence which she told me about and she also said i would have extra garden because of where she wanted her fence, it was a win win for both of us xx

We paid for a survey because we wanted our fence on the property line. On one side our neighbor had 2 trees on our yard. The neighbor had moved in a year earlier. It was the prior owner that had planted the trees. We were concerned it might be a problem. Husband went over to speak with neighbor before fence construction started. Luckily neighbor was glad. said now he had less yard to mow and hated mowing around the 2 trees. We cut one down as it would be right on top of the fence. On opposite side we discovered property line continued at an angle. our yard was a somewhat triangular shape with point being behind the house. That home was empty at the time so we proceeded without problems. we had privacy in back up to front of our house and then put a white picket from that point forward. We did have come in like five inches to avoid utilities line buried directly on property line but continued at an angle so lost less than a square foot. I miss that nice place but we downsized for.retirement. Family thought us having 3 extra bedrooms was an invitation to live with us! NOT!!!

I never understand when someone puts a fence up and it’s actually benefiting both neighbors. It looks a lot better than the wood that’s laying on the ground. I don’t understand. It looks better and it benefits both of you.
