My husband is going through a very similar situation with his ex-wife. He has considered signing his rights away as well. If he voluntarily signed or gave up his rights, would she have to be present in court and sign the document as well or is there a way for him to do it without her knowledge? Or the “ok”

I stepped back from my daughter’s life because I was the same catalyst… my defending myself caused chaos, both judge and GAL said mom was the problem, but you can’t force someone to change, and when my new wife took the keys to the safe, I made the choice to step back to be able to be present when she’s an adult… if my daughters wants the truth when she’s an adult, I’ll be ready… until then, text support from a distance. There’s more of us than we let on, and we’ll all get through this. Stay strong brother.
