what's that police officer knows for sure, that the cop does not own the property, that that cop does not have a warrant to enter that property. he knows that for sure. runs into someone that doesn't want to answer his questions and immediately wants to get violent. no the cop did not do a good job. and the people supporting the cop need to take their tongues off the boots of the police

Nosey neighbour to start off with. Previously abandoned property now has people living there. So ring the police as they ‘might’ be illegal. Police come steaming in, expecting you to be guilty. No thought to actually investigate if someone has bought the place
