This happened to someone I used to know, their oldest got out first thing in the morning while the parents were sleeping and they lost their kids to foster care for quite some time. Not because they were neglectful, just because their youngest was and still is very skinny. They thought he was malnourished and didn’t believe the parents until they realized he still wasn’t gaining weight in foster care.

This was my nightmare for a few months due to my daughter knowing how to open the door so easily.. I had to take the necessary precautions to keep her from getting out.. I had to put a chain at the very top of the door.. move my couch from next to the door.. but it was never an hour.. that I can say.. terrifying but I made a way to keep her in
