I have had the exact reverse happen when I call the school about issue at school we learn about when our sun unmasks at home and act out. They think he is perfect and can handle bullying because of it. I’ve told them it’s only a mater of time before he unmasks at school and lashes out.

My kids always behaved better at school. So much that I would tell the teacher how do I get that at home and the teacher said constant supervision probably

I had an “opposite” IEP meeting. Mom wouldn’t believe any of us that her child was behaved. She proceeded to show us a video of the child tantruming at home and asked us what we were going to do about it. 🤷🤷🏻‍♀️🤷‍♂️

Yeah… I’ve said this once. My youngest boy was acting out at school and we had a conversation with his teachers. I actually said “but he doesn’t do this at home” needless to say after the conversation with his teacher’s I won’t be saying that ever again 🤣🤣🤣 “well yeah, he’s not AT home.” We did find out what was causing him to “act out” in class and he’s been doing a LOT better. (I put acting out in quotations because it was just normal emotions because of what was going on he didn’t have the capacity to release his emotions and we have since been working with him on it)

Even if the exact issue isn’t happening at home, I’m sure similar behaviors happen at home. Before my kid was diagnosed with ADHD, we saw hyperactivity and impulse control problems at home but they manifested differently.

it's hard to find out your kids are acting up outside of your presence so having an attitude instead of understanding is so sad 😞 😔
