Hear me out, why are ONLY Belly's negative memories of Conrad wrong like the boardwalk? Couldn't it be argued that all of her memories are skewed by her own feelings or ideas of what was going on? why aren't her thoughts of Jeremiah in book 3 maybe "wrong" because we don't really know?

The structure of that final book is really wild. If anything we should have been getting POV’s from all three throughout the entire series if we were gonna switch POV’s like that. Either only Belly as narrator or all of them would have made for a much more balanced series

Conrad having his POV in the last season gives him an advantage Jeremiah doesn’t get to have because it the last thing viewers see. Conrad gets the opportunity to basically defend himself for his terrible past actions and try to have us sympathize with him to win us over on why he’s the better the love interest. S3 would have been a great opportunity for Jeremiah to also give his POV on his actions also but unfortunately we won’t get to see it.

I understand Conrad too but I don't make excuses for him it's like someone running their partner over w a truck but because he was depressed it's ok because he still loves her🙄. I personally don't think he's a bad person I blv he loves his brother n belly I jus think he nvr should've gotten in a rship w her to begin w because he got 5 seconds of joy in exchange for months of draining belly's light.

It bothers me when people say “oh you only get Conrad and has to be on his team bc they are the older child and can understand him bc I’m the same way “. No true. I’m the oldest child and prob acted the same way and understand him but I am not team Bonrad! I’m on team Bonrad. I don’t believe his actions are justified at all. I will never defend that. I’m on team Jeremiah and I want belly to be in a healthy relationship and makes her happy.

i definitely agree , they gave us a jeremiah POV when it would’ve been more appropriate w the lacy situation seeing as though it’s super complex and not black and white at all . conrad’s pov would’ve made more sense in book.. watching belly choose jeremiah and seeing them kiss etc . u just gave me another reason to dislike the books 😭

Framing Conrad being different under guise he has good intentions and is dealing with trauma is exactly how you get scammed. This is true for almost all of them. Even the narcissist. Narcissism is a trauma response. Everyone is deserving of compassion, but you are also allowed boundaries. You do not have to tolerate mistreatment because they are suffering.
