Soups are great. And I never once complained or was ungrateful for a friend who took the time to make me food.

Wait but have you heard of "The first 40 days"? It's a super popular postpartum book that basically says to eat soup for postpartum haha

I feel like I’m just thankful for when anyone cooks for me when I’m postpartum. I’m not gonna complain about what it is lol

Ok hot take… I wanted more soups 😭 😂 but soup in October/November hits different. We got whole roast chicken dinners from THREE people- delicious but I was chickened-out!

I always gift a quiche to my friends who are postpartum! You can fill it with protein and veggies and it is super easy to reheat and keep :)

For postpartum I made us a whole bunch of homemade breakfast sandwiches (egg, sausage, sauce, biscuit) that we froze and it was a lifesaver for a quick microwaveable meal that had lots of protein!

My old job got a list of favorite places to eat from the momma and each of us every other day or so would grab food for that place and drop it off on our way home. 🏡 we did this for a month and the company pitched in too.

Soup is an amazing postpartum meal because it’s easily digestible. You need easily digestable foods.

My go to is bbq! Usually pulled pork or brisket, mac and cheese, a big chopped salad, Hawaiian rolls to make sandwiches from leftovers. It keeps so well and is easy to reheat.

I guess I’m not alone based on the comments, but I LOVED all the soups postpartum. Especially in the fall and winter months 👏🏼

My son was born in January and the amount of vegetable beef soup I was given was INSANE. We never wanted to see that soup again in our life.
