As someone who doesn’t have a preference but does end up dating predominately POC, it’s bc many yt have not done the work on themselves and their views, social justice, community, even deconstructing their own inherent racism so i personally don’t connect

I grew up in the poor rural south, so we had a small diverse graduating class. Generally, I’ve found that POC folks are more likely to have a more compatible view on community and politics which is critical for any kind of relationship for me

As I've been learning about anti-racism I've found white partners really struggle with things that are core to my personal philosophies. I'd date a white person on their racial healing journey but I find dating people of color aligns more with my world views and expression.

I’m neurodivergent and POC tend to treat me better than white people do when it comes to that. I’m not sure why. I don’t exclusively date POC but I have for the most part just because of that and because our political and social views tend to align more than other white people’s do. As for cultural differences, it’s always something I strive to learn about my partner just like any other trait or aspect of their life. Their culture is part of them and I’m happy to get to know it as best I can

In my high school I was actually the minority and surrounded by black and brown people. I've been attracted since elementary lol. I don't date white women at all, and I am very aware of the cultural differences and the dynamics that take place in interracial relationships. I also understand why a lot of black women don't want to date or be associated with us. I have a very long list of things I genuinely love about y'all that are not fetishistic in nature. I have no strategy though, worst someone can say is no 🤷🏼♀️but it's harder and harder especially in today's climate
