@alexisriverascott: Why do you think men are so quick to remarry if their wife dies but women aren’t so quick to replace their husband? Stats show men are over 3x more likely to than women - pretty crazy! #marriage #married #husband #wife #husbandwife #marriedcouple #widow #widower #marriagelife #marriedlife
As a man, I will never remarry if something happened to my wife. I can't imagine being with someone else. Not sure if there is any correlation, but I don't require my wife to "take care of me" either.

Men remarry because they want someone to take care of them. Women don't remarry because they don't want another burden.

If I became a widow I would buy a tiny home, another dog, scale back to a capsule wardrobe and yell “freedom” in my best Scottish accent.

I was widowed at 47, I loved my husband but I never want that life again. We are not preserving the memory of our spouse, we are enjoying our peace and freedom to do what we want.

If she’s financially independent most women won’t. I’m not ending up as a man’s nursemaid in old age. I’m 50 and would never remarry even though I’m happily married.

It's quite simple
Men who were married and lost their wives are looking for someone to fulfill their needs and take care of them ie: housework, laundry, cooking, making sure the bills are paid on time, etc... Like their wives did. Women can already take care of themselves, and don't need the headache men bring into their lives.
