iPads are awful for emotional development because they don’t learn how to self soothe if a screen is doing it for them!

I use screen time as a last resort, but I always feel so embarrassed when I do it in public. But sometimes it’s between the judgement of having a screaming toddler at a restaurant or store vs the judgement of screen time. But it’s only used for 15 minutes at most in those situations.

My younger siblings were tablet children and after seeing how it affected them, my bf and I both agreed we will not be giving our daughter a tablet. A tablet is not a babysitter.

ok you called me out 😂😂😂 I need to get one of these and it's not a tablet it's cartoons on my phone to occupy a nine month old while I clean but still this she might like more she loves getting into stuff and learning🥰🥰🥰 I saved this for when I have money to spare

Besides the fact that a lot of the content on apps like YouTube and YouTube kids is extremely weird and shouldn’t be seen by kids (I work in ABA and the kids are allowed a certain amount of tablet time and YouTube kids is SO weird), the devices also have blue light that with so much exposure, hurts your eyes. I should know, my eyes hurt right now
