@valleyofsaltband: Vintage Jangle, Modern Storytelling Here’s a short clip of me recording a guitar part from Prodigal, a track from my upcoming third album Parables. I’m playing my 1966 Rickenbacker 6-string electric, capo’d up on the 4th fret to bring out that signature chiming tone. This guitar has a sound all its own—bright, clean, and cutting, but never harsh. It’s the kind of tone that inspires parts you didn’t know were in you. For this session, I paired the Ricky with an '80s Vox AC-30 and an Orange amp—same setup I used on my debut album Voice of One Crying in the Wilderness. That combo gives the Rickenbacker a beautiful, ringing sustain and clarity that cuts through with warmth and attitude.
