I have 8 week old twins and we are a freak show out in public. People stop up everywhere we go bc we have a double stroller set up in double bassinet mode. It’s either “wow, twins? So cute. Tell us all about them” love that, always down to chit chat! OR “wow, twins? Aren’t you overwhelmed? Do you have support? Should you be out with them so soon?” God forbid a girl battle ppd by roaming target/homegoods/Ulta with an iced coffee and Beyonce playing in my AirPods.

The expectation thing is SO real. My 2.5 yr old is SO tall and looks 4-5. Everyone expects him to be having full on conversations and he just ain’t there yet lol.

I must have a worse RBF than I’m aware of because as a mom who had 3 boys within a 4 year time span I cannot think of a single annoying encounter I ever had & they’re all school aged now. Maybe because I would probably actually swing.

One time I was walking with my newborn to pick up a prescription (we lived in Washington DC at the time) and an old man on the sidewalk gasped when he peered into the stroller and said, “that baby is brand new, why would you bring them here” sir we live here I’m not taking her for a visit to the natural history museum.

I haven't been back to Costco since a woman chased me down to tell me the strawberries I had in my cart were from America. I live in Canada, where currently half the country is suddenly refusing anything to do with the States - and apparently making it everyone's problem.

I had two grown adults cut me and my four year old in line at Disney. I was so pissed. I loudly said “you really just cut a four year old at DISNEYLAND” didn’t say anything to me. I wish I would have taken my daughter and cut them back lol.
