Funny how he says that winning only 5 games was part of the reason he couldn’t get a contract and not the fact that he slowed way down, and was constantly running for negative yardage

Luke :
In his prime he was great for us, but he left in such a bad way and made bad comments about Justin for no reason. At the end of the day we needed an actual bell cow back and he wasn’t that.

He then went and sold the commanders in the nfcc with a fumble as the rb2

running backs asking for more money after 5 years of playing never ends well...right move by the chargers... specially with Harbaugh offense style.

Tony :
Two things can be true: He did have a lot of success with the Chargers (before that last season, where he did get hurt a bit) AND he really isn’t a traditional 3 down RB and requires a specific offense to be run for him to experience a high level of success or convert him to a 3rd down back…why pay him elite money when you can replace his production with a younger RB in the draft/FA (esp given RB production degradation after 28yo)

As a life long chargers fan I appreciate his hard work him and Herbert pretty much carried the team when we had all the injuries.
