@lori_ilc: Perfect mix of breakfast and dessert 🍞🍪✨ Recipe: 1 cup unsalted butter (softened) 1 ½ cup granulated sugar 2 large eggs 1 tsp almond extract (or vanilla) 1 tbsp maple syrup 2 3/4 cup all- purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda ½ tsp salt 2 tsp ground cinnamon ½ tsp nutmeg 1. In a large mixing bowl using a hand mixer, or a stand mixer using the paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. 2. Add eggs one at a time, mix in before adding the other one. Add the almond extract and maple syrup. 3. Add the dry ingredients; flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. 4. Place the dough in fridge to chill for 30 minutes. 5. Preheat oven to 350° and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. 6. Using a 1 inch scoop, scoop each cookie dough and place them on the baking sheet, 2 inches apart. 7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden. 8. Let cookies cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. 9. Optional decoration; sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top, powdered sugar, and some cream cheese frosting.
