I remember those dairy days myself. At an appointment with the lactation nurse, I asked if it was possible that I might have narcolepsy because once the nursing began, I’d fall fast asleep. She assured me that wasn’t the case, though it was most likely related to the release of specific endorphins in the brain that are triggered by nursing. It became so bad that I’d often nurse my daughter lying down with a nursing pillow under her so we were safe on my bed or a pallet I made on the floor. Over time it improved. Still, I didn’t think I’d make it through that first year. You are doing so well!
