I still haven’t found any meds that don’t cause weight gain. I suffer without it.

unpopular opinion but the calmness is too much to me. I had chaos for so long that it feels hollow without it

I was diagnosed with bipolar 2 with psychotic features. I recently got off all my meds bc I couldn’t afford them. Here’s to hoping I can get back to them soon

I do like the calmness but I MISS and CRAVE my creativeness. I would paint all the time. It’s gone after taking meds

It’s so odd. I almost feel like I’m in a period of mourning all the noise and the static…no one tells you the relief and then how the sadness from the diagnosis hits you. Maybe that’s just me. Idk 🥲

When I started my meds, I was genuinely concerned and worried because my head was so quiet. I had never experienced that before and it really freaked me out. Then I realized that thats how it was supposed to be all along 🤣

I wasn’t diagnosed bipolar 2 until age 29 I was diagnosed with major depression before that and went through every single antidepressant to try and fight the demons. When I started taking medication to treat bipolar I went through hell. Hypo mania episode 4 days on top of the world super human didn’t need sleep homework was not a problem just so many ideas racing through my head. Then came the worst depression episodes lasting sometime 2 weeks every thing triggers mood swings up and down at a rapid rate. Honestly I don’t think I have ever been more terrified gun held to my head with no warning or acknowledgment of what was happening I was barely able to smack my hand down and then realized what was happening. After 5 months of hell I finally felt clear finally understood that there is relief from the pain and the monster inside my head. From age 6-30 I finally felt true hope for my life. Medication has saved me and proper treatment is needed I am now in therapy again and ensuring I am taking my medication. I started going to the gym again after years of not caring and I have never felt better. I will continue to become the best version of myself.

it's a relief but also scary because what is going? is this how "normal" people are? then we have to figure how to function in the quiet yet crave the chaos cause that's what we are used too...well for me and probably me only I can't speak for everyone 😔

I have bipolar 2, adhd and ocd and my brain truly feels like a jar of angry bees. The bees are a lot quieter but still there. Being in a state where I am not feeling a high high or a low low is so new to me I was so nervous about it first. In some ways it almost feels hollow.
