Depends on who you’re talking to, some people will interrupt you if you don’t fill that pause. They’ll literally think you’re done talking

Nobody is actually listening, they wait untill it's their turn to speak instead if answering in what I just said, a pause is an invite for them therefore I learnt usung filler words to communicate "hey im still talking and not finished yet". How to deal with such ppl?

I mean that's fine for presenting but in conversation or professional meetings, that pause hands the floor to someone else who is waiting for you to take a breath to break in.

I love your content but I think the focus on our clearly natural tendency to do the "ums, etc" is to prominent. We spend so much time worrying about saying "um", some of us will never speak up.
