On this blessed Day of Arafa, my family and I had the honour of officially opening Masjid Al-Abrar a modern mosque built in Garissa Ndogo, Garissa County, in memory of our late parents. Situated on the land where we were raised, the mosque features a spacious prayer hall for men, a separate women's section upstairs, a Ghusul area for Islamic burial rites and a fully equipped ambulance, doubling as a hearse, to serve the community free of charge. Built as a Sadaqa Jariah (ongoing charity), Masjid Al-Abrar is a heartfelt gift to the people of Garissa and a hub for both spiritual growth and social support.
