How long did you stay? It would be easiest to do it in a weekend (Sat morning to Sun evening) but I don’t know if that will feel rushed!

Just take public ferry from port Angeles or Vancouver, but if you don’t live in Seattle this might be only option without car, but it’s way too expensive
