The problem is on the grid if you're invited to the event you are told that media will be there and you do have an obligation to speak just looks bad on him tbh

So my take is if he was just at the F1 in hospitality then he shouldn’t have to give an interview, but if he’s on the grid, then I think a condition of that is he has to talk to the media as Saka shutting down anyone like that is not good for F1 or himself…

Anyone walking the grid should have an obligation to be interviewed. Any real f1 fan would kill to have that opportunity but people who aren’t even interested in the sport get the opportunity. It’s wrong.

it's not like he is being asked for an in depth interview, they just want a couple of words from him, the grid walk is always fast paced and interactions are usually brief. It's part of the deal, they get to walk the grid, they have to interact with the media
