please don't wash your dishes directly in to a stream it can contaminat the water if you have no other choice collect steam water and use that to wash them away from the water source

Freeze 2l bottles of water, they last longer than ice packs and then you’ve cold, fresh water towards the end of your trip. I can usually keep the cool box cold enough for 3-4 days this way 🥰

Also, freeze as much as possible and use as edible ice packs. Once the cooler starts to empty, stop somewhere and grab some ice cube bags. A leisure battery and inverter to run the fridge when needed.

A suggestion for your ice problem…put dry ice in the bottom of your cooler, put cardboard on top of that then regular ice on top of the cardboard. Your ice won’t melt for several days! You can pack your cold food in the regular ice

Get a dehydrator for meals that usually needs cold, then just add water when cooking. So many good recipes online 😊

If I am going non electric camping, I freeze as much of the food as I can and then it slowly defrosts and acts as an ice pack for the fresh food. 😍
