Today is a big first for me: My first time at @Disneyland California … but is it accessible for wheelchair users? Let’s find out! I rolled right to Disneyland City Hall where they gave me a map for guests with disabilities and helped me plan the most magical day. After that I bopped around Main Street and LOVED that all the shops were accessible! Did you even go to Disney if you didn’t have teary eyed moment by the castle and meet the characters?? We all know I couldn’t miss out on that magic! Heading deeper into the park I visited Toon Town, which was designed to be a barrier free land for every body. Honestly I’ve never had the opportunity to go on rides as a wheelchair user or with my diaphragmatic pacemaker, so this was a very big first for me! You could say they were a blast! Come back for part two to see just how accessible they are. I had definitely worked up an appetite and headed to the ICONIC Plaza Inn. I loved how they preserved the history of this gorgeous building while adding a ramp and making it accessible. They even had somebody help me grab my food from the buffet and that chicken?? 10/10! No day at Disney is complete without a show, I was so excited to find that they had a special viewing area just for disabled guests.
