It’s definitely less common for a woman to be older in a couple, but in Latin American culture (where Alex is from) it’s extremely rare for a guy to be almost a decade younger. We hid it at first but felt so much relief when we just came clean. 
 2. People will make assumptions 💁🏼‍♀️
And it has nothing to do with me or him. Their judgment is often just projection. We’ve learned to stop explaining ourselves. Period.

Let that sink in: Most of my insecurity came from outdated beliefs I held about myself. I had to give myself a reality check for suree.

I’ve always been a free-spirited “let’s move across the world” kind of girl, and Alex brings the stability and wisdom that I need to bring me back to earth.

You’ve heard it a million times, but age IS just a number. LOVE however is about presence, intention, maturity, and shared values - which have no age requirement. And yes… sometimes I reference Y2K things and he just stares at me blankly 😂
