I think it’s so you know they’re supposed to be on your property. I have a feeling this may stem from people being attacked or threatened for being on someone’s property

bc people can go and try to steal from the truck. it's a safety thing from what I've been told

I want to know who the driver delivering my package is, because this guy was speeding in my neighborhood and keeps leaving my packages outside my door, like BLOCKING it on purpose. The door opens outwards and he always places the packages in front of it.

The driver that supposed to be on the way with my package has been on the way for like five hours. He needs to hurry up. FedEx is the worst.

Yes they can tell me but they can’t read the delivery instructions that say where to leave my package 🙄

You wouldn’t like watching us 😂 we aren’t required to go through the route a specific way, so we may be near your house and then on the other side of town the next moment. It’ll get there eventually tho 😂

Maybe bc they often come to the door? I wasn’t aware that there was a huge problem in people pretending to be FedEx delivery drivers to get people to open their doors but maybe this is a security thing- like your Uber driver.

Because the map is a safety issue… could you imagine if somebody you didn’t know had your location? Lol.

As an Amazon driver, the GPS tracker is the bane of my existence...give them my name and picture but they should not track me

that was a new feature they rolled out as a fedex driver they told us that we had to choose to have a picture taken to show customers who was delivering i chose to opt out due to safety reasons not safe to put yourself out there since they might find my address and rage

Idk exactly how this works but when I get a package sent through fedex I sometimes get the name of the driver and sometimes I don’t but usually when I get the name of the driver and an estimated window I am able to track the truck once the delivery window starts…so if it is estimated between 1pm and 3pm once the clock hits 1pm the location shows up on the app…

Because people are always complaining, Tomball or they don’t know who the driver is they don’t know who messed up their package by throwing it breaking it so the reason why is because they are updating this to have more clarifications for customers so that way in case if any customer complains, they’ll know who it is upon arrival it’s not just FedEx. It’s also Amazon UPS so that way they can be like oh when they call customer service they’re gonna be like oh do you know the driver’s name simple as that

They're working on it. I am a beta tester. So once yoy hit the eatimated time frame, it'll show you like Amazon. As for driver, I'm assuming a safety thing. you know so someone else might not pretend to deliver your package

Probably because with FedEx we don’t go in a specific order for our deliveries like Amazon does.

its to be similar to Uber i think. if you frame it in a safety way, as in you know who to expect at your place (assuming it's accurate) it's kinda nice
