I think she needs to admit to him she was wrong. Apologize for not listening to him when he tried to help her. Forgive him for the harm he’s caused. Tell him they don’t need each other anymore and release him.

My dad is schizophrenic. From time to time I wonder if it truly is mental illness or something demonic. I have trauma from growing up with his “delusions” so I can’t imagine what it’s like to actually go through anything like that 😭

I direct a psych ward. I try every day to help ppl understand what my clients feel. This is the exactly what they say— the people the see and feel are as real as you and I. I can’t imagine how scary that is and try to give them nothing but unconditional care 💚

he told her how: admit to him that she made wrong choices. he warned her about the kid that got her into substance abuse and she ignored him. and then she continued to choose wrong over and over. she came clean in other ways, she needs to come clean in that one, too.
