@thetwinstadads: We’re Michael + Josh — aka #TwinstaDads! 👨‍❤️‍👨👶👶 We met on Tinder in 2014, got married in 2016, and have spent the last decade building a life we love — full of travel, theater, plants, pups, friends and now… PARENTHOOD. 🫃 🫃 After a family trip with Michael’s side in early 2023, we both realized we were finally ready to take the leap. We jumped in — and after a long, emotional, beautiful two-year journey through independent surrogacy (with two incredible women we’re so grateful for), we found out in February 2025 that we were pregnant… with TWINS! A boy and a girl! 💙💖 The way we found out was pure magic: our surrogate left a gift basket on our porch with two onesies, two positive pregnancy tests, and a bottle of bubbly. We hadn’t even done the blood test yet — but there it was. Our dream, coming true. Cue tears 😭 The Bangerter-Valdez twins are due in October, and yes — we’re already obsessed. The dogs are ready to be siblings. The grandparents are thrilled! We started this account because we didn’t grow up seeing families like ours. Even now, we don’t personally know many other gay dads who’ve gone through surrogacy. Social media gave us visibility and hope when we needed it most — and now, we want to pass that forward.
